Five Simple Changes To Improve Your Golf Score

Five brief and easy tips to cut the odd shot or two off you card.

1- Driving-know your limitations! Unless you consistently hit the fairway with your largest club, using a smaller wood, or even a long iron off the tee will keep you in play from the off.

2- Long Irons- don’t use the same swing as you would for mid or short irons. Long irons are designed to work with a flatter swing plane to propel the ball forward with a lower trajectory.

3- Sand Play- always focus on the spot of sand where your club is going to impact and swing through without choking.Check out this link here. Looking at the ball will only increase your chances of topping the ball and remaining in sand.

4- Long Putts- think of a cat asleep around the hole. Your ball wants to hit the cat, but not wake it up.

5- Short Putts- focus on a tiny point on the grass a couple of inches before the lip of the hole, a spot that if you hit it, you know the ball will go in the center. Picking a smaller target focuses your mind more intensely on the putt into the heart of the hole.
